The Power of Music (spot-lighting EFY)

One of my older friends just got back yesterday from being a counselor at this years EFY. So this week her family is going to Escalante and she's letting me borrow her CD which makes me really happy. I love EFY music. It's this family that really got me into it. In fact they've let me borrow all the EFY CD's they have. So irronicaly I have all the EFY CD's from 1996 to this current year but the funny part about it all is that I've never been to an EFY. From what i hear I'm missing out on the experience. But for me, I feel that the life I'm leading without going to EFY's is probably just as well of as if I had been to an EFY. But since I've never been to one, I wouldn't know. I know this is kind of a random but I thought I could share what I've learned about how important music is in our lives. A lot of people out there don't realize how much of an impact music has on us. Pres. Boyd K. Packer is one of my favorite people to hear speak on music because he has such great insight on music. His talk in last conference has a little reference to it. If you want to read it, unless you already have then you can read it again, here's a link to his talk http://lds.org/conference/talk/display/0,5232,23-1-690-10,00.html. I just thought i would share how much my Father in Heaven has helped me to change my life through the music He has led me to. If anyone wants some of the EFY music, just tell me and I'll email it to you. Make sure I have your email address. And give me a genre type that you like so I can pick out some that you might like.

GRADUATION!!! I'm Finally Finished!!!

He He it wasn't until just yesterday that i remembered i had a blog. But with that I will add another entry to it. The picture above is one of my Senior Pics so i felt it was appropriate to put that in here as the topic is GRADUATING!! It's so nice to have it out of the way. For all those who haven't graduated yet, it's a great feeling to look forward to I can promise you that. But as for the rest of my summer now, I'm planning on working throughout the summer and then around the beginning of September I'll be heading up to BYU-I for a semester until December when It'll be over and I'll come back and get in the final preparations for my mission cause I've been preparing since day one for this event.

Just because i found out that you can put in quotes to this i wanted to add one that my bishop uses anytime a missionary leaves:

Brigham Young Said: If you go on a mission to preach the Gospel with lightness and frivolity in your hearts, looking for this and that, and to learn what is in the world, and not having you minds riveted-yes, i may say riveted-on-the cross of Christ, you will go and return in vain. Go forth weeping bearing precious seed, full of the power of God, and full of faith to heal the sick even by the touch of your hand, rebuking and casting out foul spirits, and causing the poor among men to rejoice, and you will return bringing your sheaves with you. Let your minds be centered on your missions and labor earnestly to bring souls to Christ.

New and improved (well actually just New)

This is another one of my favorite Temples. It's the San Diego Temple in California just in case you don't know where San Diego is :) I'm probably not going to be as up to date as many other Bloggers out there are but I figure that if i get started, eventually I'll work my way up there with the Elites.
But I am way excited that summer is almost here. School is lessening up, there are less and less assignments, AP Testing is over HOORAY!!!, and life is just going amazingly wonderful. I couldn't ask for more. Well i actually can ask for more but i don't have a need to ask for more. I hope you are all just as excited that summer is coming.
